Days after UC Graduations

Bro. David and I attended five graduations at UC Santa Cruz. It was great celebrating with our students and their families. Weather in Santa Cruz was sunny and cool too. The parties were great gathering places to reminisce about days at the Newman Center and student life. Going from American food, Italian cuisine, to Chinese delicacies was an experience.

Last days at Newman Center

Yesterday was the feast of Holy Trinity and our last Mass on campus for our students. It was a great event to say goodbye to our students who are graduating and leaving our campus to transfer to another University. There were 80 students, families and friends of the Newman community. Joel-Henry and Rob Corbell, graduates of UC participated in our liturgy. It was great having Joeo-Henry play the drums again which enhanced our music at Mass. Today our students are beginning their exams until Thursday. Friday is our Baccalaureate Mass at the Newman Center. Graduations are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
September 11 was the feast day of Holy Trinity; our last Newman Mass on campus. It was great to celebrate Eucharist with many of our former Newman students, friends and students present for this Mass. After Mass we had a great social with lots of food and drink and time to socialize. It was also a time to say goodbye to many students who are moving on; either graduating or moving to another school in the Fall. It was great to see Joel-Henry; he played the drums for our Mass which enhanced our music. This week the students are having their exams until Thursday. Baccalaureate Mass is scheduled for Friday at the Newman Center with graduations on Saturday and Sunday
